This is a Fan dedication page. Bryan Tyson (Beautiful Confusion)
is a producer and DJ fromTampa, Florida.
His involvement in the music scene began
when he got his first set of turn tables in 1987.
In the early 90's he was scratching and Djing
with a hip hop group called the Swing Lords
and at sixteen was interviewed on Kenny K.'s
"Wax Attack," a local radio show on 88.5 fm.
He quickly became known as one of the best
trick and scratch artists in Tampa.
As his talent increased, Bryan began
to realize that his favorite records had a strong electronic feel. In 1992 he began to
experience techno music coming from local DJs such as; DJ Monk, Dave Christopher
(Rabbit in the Moon), DJ Three (Second Hand Satellites), and Grumptronix..
He began to buy techno records and was soon spinning at The Groove, Masquerade,
The Edge, The Z-Spot, and old school Raves all over Florida.
Bryan enjoyed making people dance and became increasingly interested in music
production. He bought his first keyboard in 1993 and with the help of Chris Hawkes
(Pimp Juice) and Scott Weiser (Jackal & Hyde), of the Hallucination studio, he quickly
learned enough engineering skills to get him going.
Several of Bryan's tracks have been heard on the dance floors of London, Dallas, Miami,
and New York City. "Let Yourself Fall," and "150th Psalm," have been aired on radio stations
in Tampa, Detroit, and Canada; and his first releases will soon be available on the
Hallucination label.
As well as producing, Bryan has done live performances at major events such as
Blood on the Turn Tables 2002 and Hallucination Before Christmas 2002, as
well as shows at local clubs like Masquerade and Red Star. Presently, his
primary job is running Deep Productions, which opened in 2001. His work
includes recording, producing, and engineering the sounds of various hip hop
and house music artists in the Tampa Bay area.
Bryan is a true music lover with countless skills and abilities. His production styles
include; house, hard house, trance, breaks, electro, drum and bass, hip hop, trip hop,
down tempo, ambient, acid jazz, and experimental. His main goal is to be able to release
electronic music without being limited to a specific genre.
