Hey all, I recently discovered that there appears to be some interest in rock bands from the '80's and '90s Boston music scene. So I thought I'd put up this myspace page for anyone out there who may still care. If any of you are old friends or fans of the band, please feel free to leave a comment or send a message. It would be great to hear from ya. Anyway, here's a quick Bang Nasty bio (at least as best as I can remember the details).............
Bang Nasty was formed in 1991 in Haverhill MA by Dave Park and Craig Worthen. The band played all the usual Boston area rock clubs (Axis, The Channel, Atlantic Lounge/Tank, Paradise, Rock Pile/Red Square, etc.) and became known mostly for three things; their intense and unpredictable live shows; their raw, street-level lyrical content; and their ability to consume large amounts of alcohol. Bang Nasty's sound was somewhere between metal, grunge and punk; and was often labeled as smut-rock. The band released a 3-song E.P. and accompanying video in 1992. They then released a full length, 10-song CD entitled "beg for nothing" in 1994. A third, full length CD was recorded in 1998. However the band broke up prior to the release of the CD.
