About Me

I was born 4th of October 1976 in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. My first exposition to the world of Music was at the age of 6, when I had my first piano lesson. Three years later I was changing to the Trumpet, and further on at the age of 14 I started playing Drums. At this time I joined a local Brass-Band by playing basically the Trumpet. At the age of 16 I had my first own Band "unexplained" by playing drums. Through that on I was getting more and more into playing drums and Percussion in different Bands and Ensembles. At the age of 19, and further on, I got exposed to Jazz, and its different Forms.I studied at the "Modern Drum School" with Joachim Leyh from 1996 till 1999. From 1999-2000 I did studies at the Los Angeles Music Academy, with Joe Porcaro; Michael Shapiro; Dave Beyer; Aaron Serafati; Mark Schulman; Glen Sobel; Mike Paker; Tony Inzelaco; Sherman Ferguson; Ralph Humpfrey; Billy Hulting; and many more......The past years I played and recorded with different Bands and Projects; such as: Subwave; Corcovado; NA64; Live-Recording for Bayrischer Rundfunk Studio Nuremburg; My own Jazz-Trio; Big Band der Musikschule Neumarkt/Opf; ; Special Edition Gospelchoir; 4T-Up (funk`n Groove), and so on...
