About Me

Originally from Glasgow where local influences Simple Minds, Willie Gardner and Endgames nearly pushed me towards buying a synth and joining a band. Instead went to Stirling Uni where I used dead studio time at Radio Airthrey to learn how to record, edit and mix. Built my own home studio in 1994 and have since produced 6 albums "Digital Delay", "Deep", "Destiny", "In The Wake of Apollo", "Difficult Listening Hour" and "Moving On Then..." as well as collaborating on recordings with High Barn Artists Aklowa, Hannah and Nona. My early work is mostly ghostly ambient synths very much influenced by Brian Eno and a number of other ambient synth artists. My latter 2 albums are still instrumental but use samples heavily following visit to Japan where I saw 2 punky girls rant over a Sony Viao triggering samples. It reminded me a lot of Adrian Belew's "Big Electric Cat" and Bill Nelson's "Chimera" and decided to head off for my own experiments. Now living in leafy Surrey where I still get to dust off the old Roland CR78 and play the odd synth now and then.
