So, I started at the Monkey's Tail in Broad Ripple. My friend, George Handlon, was running the open stage there. I had been play a guitar for a couple of weeks and George overheard me singing "The Humpty Dance". He said I should try it. So I did. It went over good but he wouldn't let me try anything else that I was practicing(cover songs). So I started trying to write my own songs to girls that drove me crazy.
