The first artist of the Gang Green label L.A.W. We’re finishing his album "THA GOOD N THA BAD". We know this will be a street classic, some real hood shit. There is something for everyone on it. So if you’re 8 or 80, you’re gonna find out there is a new artist on the rise. With a team of super producers behind him, its gonna be problems for the industry. He’s worked with Nu Jerzey Devil on the street classic "Run That" featuring Jha-Jha from Dipset. The Wonder Twins came with hot shit on "Rain" featuring Toy. Maurley T (producer for Bone Thugz n Harmony), came with the heat on "Bustin’" featuring Jim Jones. Lux produced the track "Heart and Soul" featuring Ms. Jade from Philly. Star productions brings a whole new flavor on "The Anthem" featuring Peedi Peedi. D-Nucka supplied the banga "Smoking Caskets" featuring Redman. But there is just so much more to the album including Bizzy Bone (Bone Thugz n Harmony) and Black Thought (The Roots), so u gonna get your moneys worth for this one. So look out for L.A.W’s single coming soon.
Born Zachariah Smith in Chicago,Il. in 1980. There were many challenges in his life growing up in K-Town, one of the ruffest neighboorhoods on Chicago’s West-Side. He was initiated in a gang at the precious age of 12yrs old and quickly began going down the path of destruction. But through the grace of GOD and positive mentors in his life he stayed focused in school and began singing in the church choir. That’s when he discovered his passion for music. He also had many other talents he indulged in including drawing, performing arts and writing poetry.
In March of 1998 he escaped death and the mean streets of Chicago and moved to Harrisburg,Pa. with his father. He began attending college at The Academy of Medical Arts and Business where he studied Law and was an outstanding student. It was there where he met a classmate by the name of Lady Mac. Destiny was calling out to L.A.W when he found out that Lady Mac and Uncle Nutty, her boyfriend/producer had a small recording studio in their home. Their chemistry on the track was unbelievable. The three of them took the show on the road and became known as "The Dynasty".
After a performance L.A.W and Lady Mac was greeted by Tanelli (CEO of Gang Green Entertainment) and Mak Millz (recording artist of Gang Green Entertainment). They both was very impressed by the production and lyrical content of the group and wanted to sign them to the label. Time passed by and meetings were conducted but with no official contracts signed. Unfortunatly in September of 1998 Lady Mac moved back to her native hometown of Ohio and L.A.W began making solo tracks in the basement of his cousin’s house. It wasnt much time after that he was contacted by Tanelli again. L.A.W ultimately made the decision to "ryde-out" with the label.
L.A.W began traveling and recording with Gang Green Entertainment and was told that he had to change his stage name which at that time was "Blood", because the label felt it would cause unwanted attention. It was then Mak Millz who gave him the name L.A.W due to the fact that he was in school studying to become a lawyer. L.A.W dropped out of school because of personal issues and began persuing his career in music. He has since then been a soldier on a mission to become a true icon in the Hip-Hop world. He has proved to the world that he is a one man army.
