People who are happy with what they have. People who are patient with the ignorant. People who enjoy having nice things, but who are not governed or defined by their possessions. People who enter a discussion or argument not with the intent of proving their point, but with the intent of understanding their opponent's point of view. People who refuse to say "it's not my fault," and instead look for ways in which they may have contributed to the problem, and ways to ensure such failures do not happen again. People who remember their past. People who know their motives. People who are slow to anger and quick to forgive. People to whom the word "love" means something definite. People who understand that "sorry" loses its meaning over time, and that is better not to transgress than to ask for forgiveness. People who are self-aware, knowing the weight that their actions carry and being accountable for those actions. People who are kind. People with deeply felt and reasoned ethics.
I have met very few of these people.
