Here is the job description and qualifications needed:TherapistTherapists implement 1:1 behavioral intervention programs to children in their homes and serve as instructional shadows in school settings. Initially, Therapists participate in a training program that provides instruction on Applied Behavior Analysis, discrete trial teaching techniques, management of maladaptive behaviors, social skills development, and data collection techniques applicable to our client population. Training opportunities continue throughout employment as our Junior Therapists receive on-going supervision from professional consultants at CARD for each client with whom they work.Therapists must meet particular requirements in order to be considered for employment at CARD:Educational Requirements* Sophomore or higher in College or University, studying Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Speech, or related fields.Therapeutic Skills* Patience
* Ability to interact well with children
* Ability to work cooperatively as a therapy team member
* Ability to work well independently
* Availability to work a minimum of 10 hours per weekOther Requirements* Have means of transportation, license to drive and proof of valid insurance
