Bennie Lee Owens, Jr. is a young man busting on the scene with his
selfproclaimed new style of music called “Pimp Hop!†He has blazed the mic
in Montana and has engineered in Inglewood. Originally from Richmond,
CA has recently moved to Concord, CA, where he is attending Diablo Valley
College, taking every music class they have to offer. Bennie has an upper
hand on the industry because he has his own studio, Faces of the Streets,
and is there 24/7. He has mastered the art of engineering himself in order
to achieve his own sound. Bennie has recorded song after song for the last
three years straight and has compiled a library of music so huge that he has
seven albums ready to go. Planning to release the “The Owens Trilogyâ€,
which includes “Hard 2 Be Humbleâ€, “Beautiful Thang†and “Music 4
Money,†Bennie is ready to take the world by storm! He has recorded with
and for many artists such as Ying Yang Twins, Keak The Sneak, Messy Marv,
Turf Talk, Mike Marshal, Lil Ric, Bavegate, Tequila, and many more local
legends. Polite Pimping contains16 smoothed-out tracks including
collaborations with upcoming artists such as Jason Drisker, Pancake and D
Ski, which will be coming out on Bennie’s new label, Owens Entertainment.
Bennie is also half of the group Project Celebrities, which will be dropping
in the summer of '08!
