There's something about the simplicity of acoustic music I like.
I can be almost anywhere, just me and a guitar and keep myself entertained. I enjoy creating 'bits' of music. Something to start immerse myself in and often have no real end point. These 'bits' also develop into songs, some of which you hear.
All of these tunes have been created and recorded in whichever room I happened to be living in at the time.
In between the 'acoustic-ness' has been, the get down jump up type of music. And I've had the pleasure of spending many fun hours.... YEARS in fact, lost in some free forming never ending musical madness, where the only things needed were musical instruments, several bottles of red wine and no real idea.
But I always find myself coming back to the beginning, just me my guitar and my voice.
In June 2009 I started a project 'Hoop & The Kid' with Ian Hooper a singersongwriter out of Seatle. We recorded an ep which is available to buy from my concerts.
A full length Kid Decker album is due for release at the end of 2009.
I was originally born and raised in South West England, but am currently living in Hamburg, Germany.
