Auditory Hallucination is four guys with one desire. To play pure, natural, raw rock music. Together since early in 2006 "Aud-Hal" as their fans have come to call them are an original band from the Western burbs of Chicago. Ed, Airick, Sean and Eric (E.A.S.E.) have played the chicagoland area for over 20 years in a number of bands in the past. With roots in very different styles.Aud Hal has been compared to such bands as Kings of Leon, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Smithereens, Concrete Blonde, Material Issue, Smashing Pumkins, to name a few.How it started. Longtime friends, and roommates, Ed(guitar) and Airick(bass) layed the foundation for Aud-Hal. Having written dozens of songs and numerous tracks, the music was extremely experimental (with an emphasis on mental). Many of the early Aud-Hal songs were actually modifications of these early songs. And some still are.Eric(Vox&guitar) and Sean(drums) came on board in the early part of 2006. The experiments continued and the band wrote and recorded and Aud-Hal developed....quickly. This band can seriously write, and write, and write. Within a few short months the band had enough songs to perform a 2+hour set of primarily original material. Occasional cover songs are done as well, with an Aud Hal twist.Aud Hal's first release was the 16 song effort entitled "Songs of Love, Voyeurism, and Kidnapping". "Songs" was released in the fall of 2008 and is already in regular rotation on both internet and college radio stations locally. Recorded at LnL Recording in Elgin this CD is a pure rock representation of Aud Hal's beginnings and core style. The band hopes to re-enter LnL Recording in the fall of 2009.Aud Hal live is a mix of high-energy rock, moments of comedy, and rock. Always a pure, fun-loving, unpredictable, and generally unforgetable evening, every time. The band has played shows at some of Chicago's premiere clubs throughout Chicago and the Suburbs and has been blessed to have met many other great bands and fans in the area. And they're looking forward to making more friends and adding them all to the Auditory Story in the near future.
