is birthday present was a set of soundlabs turntables, he bugged his folks for years after watching a music video by a group called Full Force as an 8 year old and there was a camera shot of the Group’s dj with a crash helmet on his head and scratching to breaks, he thought that was the coolest thing in the world & he wanted to be a scratch dj, fortunately his Dad was a vinyl junkie(not a dj) who loved music from the disco, soul, funkadelic & parliament era, his Dad was also young enough to still appreciate music coming out in the eighties and nineties to keep buying vinyl records(new jack swing era) this gave Bizzy the opportunity to start experimenting with the scratch technique which his dad did not find very ammusing as turntables made for home use/entertainment was definitely not for scratching.
Bizzy’s Dad resorted to terror tactics by hiding the turntable cartridges or just locking up the whole audio entertainment cabinet whenever he wasn’t around to keep an eye on his mischievious son,as soon as he got his first pair of belt drive soundlabs (do they still exist?) for his birthday and the rest is history.
Bizzy started promoting club parties & events in 2000 AD with a collective of friends(BAD BIZZNEZ CLIQUE) to have more creative say to how a club night was run especially on the music side to have more of a creative input the sort of music being played, thats how BAD BIZZNEZ started and as now become one of the most succesful independent club promotions team with events in the UK, Europe & Africa
He lives and breathes Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, Bashment, Jazz (Dad’s Influence), listens to a wide variety of music(Folk, Afro-beat, Gospel, Dash Of Funky House, Ju Ju, Zouk, Rock, Indie) he sees Hip Hop as a movement and culture and won’t have a bad word said about it has he has witnessed first hand it’s evolution from being laughed off as just a phase, to a force on politics, fashion & entertainment
