About Me
It's not easy to write just a few lines about SESSION EIGHT: many things troubled the existence of this band, but nothing has ever reduced the force and determination of these guys, who are still on the scene and lately found the strength and enthusiasm to show themselves once again. In 1998 the band started as TITTY-FUCK, with Laura on vocals, Ciccio-Armaloking and Paolo on guitars, Villano on bass and Ciccio-Frassino on drums. After a couple of months they recorded a 10 songs demo-tape, which is the only stuff they released as TITTY-FUCK. In the course of these years, the life of SESSION EIGHT went through highs and lows, Pitingaro (from Mez-Gacano, Laya and Airfish) replaced Ciccio on drums for a while, and then Giugi (from Magilla Gorilla and F.u.G.) became the new bassist. However, this new line-up didn't provide the continuity and solidity for the band to carry on playing. In Summer 2002 the four old members started playing once again and welcomed Spadino on bass guitar. Longing for a brand new beginning, these five guys started rehearsing with one only .. they wanted to prove each other that they still had many things to say and to do before getting to the final chapter. So they decided to change the name of the band: SESSION EIGHT was chosen as an irony about their own lives, as the band had been forced to switch off their amps for seven times and wait for better days to finally come. When this eighth chapter began, four years had passed since the first line-up (in the meantime the current members of the band had been playing in the most representative bands of Palermo scene, as URANIA, POPSTERS, CHEECH SKAOS, FLAT DENIAL, MERRYGOROUND and MAGILLA GORILLA. After a few week rehearsal, the 5 guys set their heart and soul on brand new songs, and in August 2003 they recorded their first track named Starlight, which became the opening song of PALERMO VIBRA (a compilation of bands from Palermo, released by TERZA RIVA in November 2003). Starlight got very good response and appraisal, so the band decided to quit playing live for a while and went on rehearsing and arranging new songs. Finally, in December 2003, SESSION EIGHT entered CIRCLE OF POWER STUDIO once again and recorded 13 tracks (9 new ones and 4 old Titty-fuck songs rearranged). Have a nice listening
