Magnifico

Ernesto Ureña El Magnifico, born october 11th 1982 in the humble city of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. From the very begining Ernesto develops a huge interest for music, poetry and its message. He grew up under the influence of songwriters with didactic content like Jose Luis Perales,Fraco DeVita and Ricardo Arjona. In december 1997 he emigrates to Montreal-Canada, with his family composed by his 2 siblings and his mother. Later on he's cousin who recided in Canada for many years already, introduced him to a guatemalan friend named Gary CORDOVA (a curent member of Brownz Family), and an active rap fanatic who interested him to listen to current artists like El Mexicano, Cypress Hill and Maestro among others. Later on that year he met Dj Gee a Costarrican artist, member and producer of a local group called B.O.C (in which M.R.K a current member of The Brownz Family, also took part). Magnifico's love for hiphop grew more and more each day as he discovered it. In 2002 CORDOVA and MARKITO (M.R.K) join Bobby Dreadd (a Jamaican singer) and Funky Brain (a Peruvian Rapper) to create THE BROWNZ FAMILY. The magic began and they created masterpieces like Deamon in a bottle, Flyin' Ova' and Artificial Life, which touched very deeply topics like society, racism and every day issues. This type of lifestyle attracted Magni and it was finally in 2003 when he decided to join the crew (Brownz Family). Time came to give the aspirant rapper a name, and it was thanks to his ability to write and flow-etically rap that his friends baptised him with the title of MAGNIFICO (or Magnifiscent). Ever since he's being writing and working with the crew, they've got a clear and ambitious objective; To conquer the Rap Industry!
