breitband is an open electronic-music-project from berlin and was
founded in 2004 by proxymusic and OG .
we make hardware based electronic live music. we only play improvised
sessions and never use fixed tracks (according to that, all tracks
published here are small samples taken out of longer live-sessions). beside proxymusic and OG, guests like e.g. DJ flush or JRough take part in the breitband-sessions.
proxymusic started in his early days with punk- und Madchester
infiltrated music and pop/wave-influences. since 1994 he is known as a
underground-dj in berlin (pot surrealis a.k.a. pot, as part of
cyberstorm and analogclub dj team). Since 1999 proxymusic produces
electronic music with crispy and weird sounds and also works as a sounddesigner under the name 'technikheldjung'.
proxymusic is his solo long-term project. the name is borrowed from computer
networks and Roxy Music and is a tribute to that.
OG started playing musical-instruments in 1981. in the early 90ies he
was part of several experimental bands, organized concerts and was DJing
in the punk/hardcore-scene. End of the 90ies OG started playing and
producing electronic music. Since 2002 he produces sounds and music for
theatre.
