7suns

7suns is a group of South London based musicians whose music is an energizing blend of Jazz Funk-Rock set to a backdrop of Latin Rhythms. The founding members are lead guitarist Jay Furnival and bass guitarist Anthony Byas, who grew into their musical talents together in the council estates of Brixton. In its initial stages in late 2005 the duo pulled from their experiences with soul, r&b, funk & rock. At that point they chose to take a turn in their styles of writing by removing any vocal input and bringing in the sound of their influences in latin music, making the band a purely instrumental ensemble. Dan O. of the Moon Music Orchestra describes the group's music as a mixture of "Gong with a 70s soundtrack." Having previously played at the World Fusion Music Festival, Madame Jojo's, Bar Rumba, The Purple Turtle & Jamm in Brixton (supporting Alabama3) this group now has a new and extended lineup featuring percussionist Duncan, drummer Aaron & Marco providing electronic colorizations.
