About Me

The new studio has been up and running now for several months. The sounds we're getting out of the new space are truely phenomenal and have exceeded all my expectations. We've had several projects booked right out of the gate and bookings for January and February are looking great. Thanks to all the bands that have helped us christen this new ship. Your support and enthusiasm for what we're trying to build has made it all worth while. We're looking forward to a great 2009!
I've posted a couple of songs that were recorded in the new space. The first is a cover of an old Kinks song called I Need You. Thanks to Lawrence Tarpey, Brad Scott, Todd Gorrel and Earl Crim for helping me put this together. All truely talented musicians.
The second song is an acoustic version of a Nine Pound Hammer track from our last record called Hell In My Hand. This song really gives you a feel for the acoustics of the new space. The room sounds on this recording are all natural. The guitars and banjitar (or guitarjo if you're so inclined) were recorded in our acoustically designed oversized drum booth which is decked out in a braziallian cherry wood floor that really comes across in the recording. All the guys in Nine Pound Hammer played on this along with some help from Mark Borders and Brad Scott.
Again, I want to extend an open invitation to anyone that's interested in recording with us to contact Brian or Mark to set up a time to come by and see the new space.

Thanks!
