In Evergem, close to Ghent, between the cows and turkeys, there is a bar called 't Schransken.
In 1993, when Frank Zappa died, some aliens from the planet Buednuela, landed and cloned Frank's body and spirit. His clone, called Willem, decieded to give the people from Evergem a place where they can drink, party and enjoy the finest music.
And what is a music bar without live music? Willem designed the bar with his usual flair so the bands think they play at Wembley.
With an outstanding lightshow and a fine P.A., most shows are a blast and let the band play in optimal conditions. Belgium bands as Arid, PJDS, Roland Van Campenhout, Bruno Deneckere, Gabriël Rios, Chrome Yellow, Tripoli, Aardvark, Rye Jehu... touched our stage as well as international bands as Marcus Malone (usa), Fernando Norhada (bra), Glyder (ier), Kellie Rucker (usa), The Carsitters (isr), Gunslinger (uk),... came to 't Schransken and had the time of there life.
We try to give a large spectrum on styles once a month. From blues over rock to reggae. As well as dance and covers get a chance on 't Schransken's stage.
