UPDATE: (2.25.07) Heyloo everyone! Still working on the page layout and whatnot, so once again, do not be confused when the page mutates randomly. We'll be sticking up a link to this album thingie that has all our pictures from Soundoff in it sometime in the very near future. Keep a lookout for that, ok? Haha Other than that... that's about it! One day, Rob decided to introduce Andreas Baatz (on bass), a friend of his that he met in college, into the band. The three, Jacob, Rob, and Andreas jammed for one day and immediately hit it off. A few weeks later, Tammy agreed to come back and sing for the band once again. The band setup was completed with the return of Anthony, one of the original guitarists during the first phase of the band, now returning as co-lead singer. As for instrumentals, inexperience was no longer a problem. In fact, at the present time, members of Dreamwright are able to switch instruments as they see fit in order to accomodate for the demands of their songs.
Dreamwright now writes its own songs from the hearts of all of its members. They sing emotionally charged original pieces about experiences in their own pasts as well as the experiences of the band itself. Dreamwright is heavily influenced by the band "Stars," a band from Montreal, because of their style that involves duets between a male and a female vocalist. This was very important and prominent because of the problems faced during the phase when the band still called itself Melophobia. Dreamwright was also influenced by modern indie rock bands such as Brightwood, Waking Ashland and The Spill Canvas. Dreamwright's sound is sometimes described as more mellow than many indie/punk/rock bands nowadays. However, Dreamwright's music is, for the most part, designed to be enjoyable by audiences of all ages. The band is currently planning to record their first album and play more shows.
