Once upon a time, a son of Europe grieved for his dead wife. His mournful melodies brought the gods to tears. Finally, the gods allowed the man to travel to the Underworld to reclaim his wife on the condition that he should never look at her until they reached the earth once more. As the couple returned together towards the Upper World, the wife's hand's slipped and the man looked back in anxiety.
