When the opportunity arose to chase a long awaited dream of becoming a recording artist, KIMBER VANZ knew it was now or never. With the wisdom of investors and producers, her second nature to music, and support of family and friends, there was no where else, in her mind, to go but Nashville. Signed to Platinum Plus Records under the direction of Robert Metzgar, KIMBER knew this was going to be the experience of a lifetime for her.Contracts were signed, songs selected, dates appointed, and before long KIMBER was recording in "Chelsea Studios': home to country music artist, Tom T. Hall. Upon completion of recording, the project was handled by Wayne Hall of 'HallCo Production'. Wayne was in charge of photos, cover art/design, production, and mastering. The moment of truth came in late 2006 when KIMBER held her finished album in her hands. "Being a new recording artist, this experience has been wonderful and has allowed me to grow as an artist. I'm looking forward to what lies ahead not only with this album, but the hopes of a second one!" she replies.Although her first album holds no original tracks from KIMBER herself, her raw emotion and seasoned vocal talents shine through in this debut album. One of the tracks, "Leavin' On The Next Thing Smokin'" is written by country music artist, Joe Diffie. The album features a few classics as well as new music."I feel very confident with my first project. I feel there is truly something on this album for everyone to enjoy listening to. I hope all music lovers can appreciate that." she says.The album features a remake of "Almost Paradise" which was a huge success in the eighties and features a duet with her sister.
