KING NOTHING (no relation to the Metallica song), were formed in 2006 by 2 brothers from the live-it-large city of Leeds.
Combining his trend setting ways, slick vocals and massive on-stage presence, Stone Daniels was the natural born lead singer.
Also known as the 'Six String Heart Attack', Colt Blaze literally brings the crowds to their knees with his hard-hitting, jaw-dropping, electrifying guitar solos. Of course, nothing less is expected of a lead-guitarist...
The sole aim back then was to bring back the good times of the 80s big hair rock bands like Poison, Motley Crue, Ratt and Whitesnake . Life was one big party with one gig after another.
In 2007 the lads realised that in order to take the Leeds music scene from the over-hyped Indie hole it had become back to the glory days of good old stadium rock, they had to be smart. As well as looking good and sounding good they needed to be an all round package. To feel it, play it, be it... most of all - rock it. Band members came and went, some couldn't hack life on the road. With more creativity, dedication and passion for the music they were playing, things were really starting to hot up for the guys. With over 100 gigs under their belts and a following around Yorkshire that any band would be proud of, things were starting to get serious.
In 2008, Freemo Rox came into the band as bassist. His passion for the music, combined with his down and dirty bass lines means the band is now stronger than it's ever been. Guy Eden who first spotted the band supporting Ratt took the drum stool and proved to the guys what they've been missing. Guy added even more electricity with his thundering, 'in your face' pounding beats. The KING NOTHING fanbase kept on rising. With sell out shows at the Cockpit and also with the guys becoming one of the finalists at the Battle Of The Bands at the Snooty Fox in Wakefield, KING NOTHING were getting more exposure in the music scene and really causing a stir. ,br />So what's next for KING NOTHING...?
Now rolling into 2009, the band have gigs lined up in the Yorkshire region and are looking to promote themselves all over the UK. Being a Leeds band, local shows and some massive support slots are guaranteed - having already been picked as THE support band to repalce Zodiac Mindwarp for the recent show in June at Rio's in Leeds for the huge LA Glam Metal megastars, Ratt. The guys impressed the lead singer, Steve Pearcey, so much, that a support slot for an American tour is in the pipeline.
"With a big rock attitude, big guitars, and most of all - big gigs and shows, make sure you keep your eyes open and show your support for the soon to be massive KING NOTHING... second to none!!!".
''Leeds leading purveyors of sleazy 80s metal who definitely give Rattle Snake Remedy & Sweet Seduction a run for their money.''
(Will Grinder - Leeds Music Scene)
"KING NOTHING opened the night and they rocked us all! They grew up on bands like Whitesnake, Motley Crue, Ratt and Bon Jovi and those influences really come accross in their songs. There are no gimmicks or tricks with this band, just pure good ol' dirty, sleazy rock 'n' roll, which is what the band are all about. I have had the pleasure of seeing them perform live several times & they are a real class act, on & off the stage. The whole band are very modest without a hint of arrogance, which certainly gives them an endearing quality which is very refreshing. I can't say enough good things about them, but you get the picture.
"King Nothing, local lads from Leeds came next and this was a gritty show of strength with a raw sound, living it and giving it large. 'Children of the Snake' and 'City Life' were executed with precision and I did notice this band are getting themselves a following, some of whom were in existence tonight, and it's not hard to see why. I mean they do what they do well and with names like Stone Daniels and Colt Blaze... it must be only a matter of time before the big time hunts them down."
