Ok, so, I just turned 37 last Tuesday and it's making me a bit crazy! I guess I'm ok with it, but there is so much that I want to do and time is slipping away from me.I'm originally from Ft Myers, FL and I just moved to the middle of nowhere NC back in August. My husband and I had a vacation house up here and we always wanted to live here, then my Mom got sick with a terminal illness and she was here and I moved up here to take care of her. My husband soon followed. I'm a hair stylist and I left the best job I've ever had in my life and haven't been able to find anything up here that even comes close. It helps that my best friend was my boss when I was in Florida. I tried a salon here and it just didn't work out. So, I got a job in Public Safety (I was a paramedic for 5 years) and so far it's been great. I haven't done anything like this before, but i'm having fun and meeting pretty damn cool people too.We love our house, it's in the mountains, it's a 3 story A-frame and from the outside it looks like a gingerbread house. We can't wait until spring when everything is in bloom. I like to hike and I like to kayak. I always knew that in my head I was an outside girl, but it's just so hot and nasty in FL that you don't want to get out, so this year I'm getting out. There's loads of historical sites up here and the mountains are way cool for hiking. The only bad thing about being here is that I miss my friends sooooooooo much!! It's hard for me to find people up here that are as sick as I am. heheI have a brother and 3 sisters, I am only close with one of my sister's although, my brother has really steped up since I've been here, so I have a certain amount of respect for him now. I have loads of nieces and nephews and am pretty close to all of them. Some of them will be staying with me over the summer. WAY COOL!My husband is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't imagine how I ever lived without him for all of those years. I love him so much and I can just tell how much he loves me! Don't get me wrong, we can throw down, but we always work it out. In July this year, we will have been married 10 years and are renewing our vows at the resort that we work at. That's where we got married the first time, so it seems fitting. If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. And, just as a side note, I still like him and I still think that he's totally sexy. I love it when he winks at me or when he yawns first thing in the morning, I can barely keep my hands off of him when he does that. He has the most incredible green eyes that are blue when he wears blue. I just find him so sexy and love to look at him.We both love the Dallas Cowboys and football season is our bonding time. We sit on the couch, eat junk food and scream at the TV. They were a bit disappointing this year. Thought for sure they'd be in the Superbowl. Oh well, there's always next year. THEY CAN DO IT!!I totally love to play second life, but don't have the patience to get back into it again. Maybe one day soon. When I start my job, I'll be working 10p-6a, so I'll need something to occupy my time. Might as well be second life.
