Ugh! My name is Miguel La Bamba and I come from a mixed family rooted in Mexico, Texas and Sweden. As a little chamako, I grew up listening to my old man beating the crap out of afrolatino percussion like congas and bongos and went to more concerts as a kid than most people do in their entire lifes. My mama very kindly bought my lil ass my first rapalbum, Fat Boys, which resulted in a true passion for the hiphop culture. The introduction to reggaeton came back in 2001/2002 by a Venezuelan dj named Jhon-Po that I met while traveling. We later hooked up with rapper Pato in Stockholm and I started out as a selector and crowdhyper with Tristes Tigres, introducing and pioneering reggaeton to the Swedish crowd . Now, I have a wide range of selection when it comes to the different styles of caribbean music. On my dancefloor you can dance to reggaeton, plenas, soca, merengue, house, rap, guyana soca, punta rock and dancehall. Apart from playing the clubscene I have had radioshows and I am a singer in Tristes Tigres...Aaaw yeah! That..s right.TRISTES TIGRES

The group consisted of rappers Pato (R.I.P) and Miguel La Bamba and of various producers such as Dj Krusty and Masse and Salla that were also members of the legendary Swedish rap group The Latin Kings. In 2005 the debut single entitled "Ya no te puedo amar" was released in a digital form. The group also performed as DJ:s and crowdhypers at clubs all over the world, warming up for artists like KRS-1, Dawn Penn and Tony Touch. They gained a reputation as "pioneers of reggaeton" because of their ambition to spread the puertorican music to clubs in northern Europe. After years of releasing mixtapes and working the clubs, the group is now working internationally with artists from Puerto Rico such as the true reggaeton pioneers Dj Blass and Speedy among others. The debut album entitled "Tropical Depression" features various musical influences and the last words of our beloved Pato...
