HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS "THE GODFATHER"
This car is owned by Tony & Van Smith of Ashley,IN.It used to belong to racer Dick Tricle. One of the signs that it was actually a Dick Trickle car is because it has a cigarette lighter. I believe he said it had been sponsored by Mountain Dew when Dick owned it. They bought it without an engine and they built a Chevy engine for it. In 1989 CRA Super Series racer Jack Landis competed in the ARTGO Challenge Series with this car and in 1990,91, 92, and 93 Tony Raines drove it.It raced at these tracks: Rockford Speedway, Grundy County Speedway, Dells Motor Speedway, Berlin Motor Speedway, Wisconsin International Speedway, Hawkeye Downs Speedway, Illiana Motor Speedway, Kalamazoo Speedway, Lacrosse Fairgrounds Speedway, Milwakee Mile Speedway, and Toledo Speedway
WHY COLLECT DIECAST CARS WHEN YA COULD OWN THE REAL THING A former Joe Nemecheck NASCAR Busch Series Road Course car driven by Ron Fellows sitting in my driveway.

In 2004 while the track was closed I was the Official Photographer for the USA Modified Touring Series. I'm also on the Board Of Directors at The Northeastern Indiana Racing Museum near Auburn,IN. which is located inside the Kruse WWII Victory and Automobile Museum along I-69 at exit 126, across from the Kruse Auction Park.We are dedicated to bringing back the history of Northern Indiana racing.
