Once upon a time in a country far far away..Gate 42, a bloke borned and raised in Stockholm/Sweden who early got an intrest for music with electronic influences thanks to video games and the wonderful synth pop tracks of the eighties. In 2004, after a good part of a decade of struggeling with finding a sound and genre that suits him he finally gets a break when John Askew of the Recoverworld Labelgroup signs the track ’Flow’ to his Discover label. The track is a direct success with the highly acclaimed â€Tune Of The Week†award on Armin Van Buuren’s A State Of Trance radio show. Signed to Ministry Of Sounds Trance Nation compilation and plays from a good part of the top djs around. An instant loss of faith in trance music resulted in total silence and no more productions made in a couple of years. Out searching for new inspiration led him over towards house and techno were he settled down for good, or so he thought. All of a sudden a burst of fast paced beats and distorted basslines came rushing through his head which resulted in new music. Now with more focus on drums and power instead of ambience and melodies. The new style got him to move from Discover to Discover Dark, the more tech influenced part of Recoverworld, were he feels like home and can experiment with his sound without borders.
