About Me

BluesWax is dedicated to the unique American art form of the Blues. We are the largest subscribed Blues publication in the world. We cover the Blues from the old field hollers all the way up through Robert Johnson and Charlie Patton on through the Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, and Muddy Waters years through the British Blues invasion and continually search out the newest and best in the Blues World. If you love the Blues you have found your home.
Each week BluesWax will bring you the world of Blues music. We will let you know about new artists and recordings. We travel the saloons, juke joints, concert halls, festivals, and street corners that are the venues of this music. With three feature interview/show reviews and several CD reviews each week as well as the most up-to-date and complete Blues News, BluesWax is your source for the Blues. Rate the CDs we review, play the trivia game for great prizes; join us for some great Blues.
Our contributors are some of the best in the business including Art Tipaldi (author of several Blues books and one of the premier Blues journalists), Bob Margolin (a great writer and former guitar player for Muddy Waters), Mark Hummel (one of the world’s premier harmonica players and great story teller), Rev. Billy C. Wirtz (great Blues piano man and historian of the Blues), Vincent Abbate (based in Germany and a premier Blues journalist), as well as many other great Blues fans and writers that contribute each week. We are fans first and we love the music. Come join us today (it’s free to join just click here to find out how)!
