I started out playing classiscal guitar when I was 9 years old. After a while I found out that it was much more fun playing loud enough for people to actually hear what I was playing so my father bought me an Ibanez electric and then later on a Tele (which I later sold in a moment of total misunderstanding of what a guitar should be. I really miss that one......)While studying I started doing freelance guitarwork. As most freelancers can tell, you end up doing a lot of different and sometimes crazy stuff. My worst stories include being soloist with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra basically making the guitar sound like an ambulance, or being told that I´m supposed to fly through the room in a wire while playing the guitarsolo in a rearrangement of J.S. Bach´s "Air".The more normal aspects of freelancing are of course playing TV shows, events and sitting in with club acts. I´ve also worked quite a lot in the studio as both producer and engineer. A couple of times I´ve also found myself in the position of being musical director in musical shows (FAME & Saturday Night Fever, both in Oslo at the Chat Noir theatre). So what´s next? I guess the time is right to record something of my own and that´s what I´m gonna do. Something really nice.....

Band Members: "Bassiga farbrorn" is a live-recording from a little bar called "Bar&Cigar" in Oslo. The band is called Tandem and consists of Ture Janson-git and myself. Special guests that night was David Fjelde-bass, Per Erik Tørfoss-drums. "LANG DAGS FERD MOT COUNTRY" is recorded the previous day at the same location, but with Bjørn Enoksen-Bass and Eivind Kløverud-drums. "Carlos" is recorded the third night and the drummer is Erik Smith and the bassplayer Erik Anti. All "songs" are totally improvised jamming and is just a little glimpse into all the music we recorded during 3 nights in july 2004 and that will be released early 2009. The record will be named The Bar&Cigar Sessions. "AT THE END OF THAT DAY" is a demo-recording I made in my bedroom. I played an old Suzuki guitar I..ve had since I was a kid..
Influences: Michael Hedges (EVERYBODY should listen carefully to his debut record "Aerial Boundaries", beautiful compositions and brilliant playing on the acoustic guitar, I still can´t figure out how he did it...), Allan Holdsworth, Van Halen (not just the guitar player....My favourite album is "Fair warning"), Steve Vai (especially with David Lee Roth), Bill Evans (beatiuful chord structures....), Maurice Ravel (no kidding!), John Scofield ( "Still warm" is a nice record...), Michael Brecker, Pat Metheny, Scott Henderson, Eivind Aarseth, The Beatles (Is Lennon or McCartney the better? I don´t care!! I take both, thank you very much!), Crowded House (my copy of "Woodface" is worn out...), James Taylor, Sting (I still remember exactly where I was when I heard "Ten summoner´s tales" the first time), Steely Dan, Mark Knopfler, Weather Report, Keith Jarret, Nik Kershaw (he is actually a very nice guitarplayer), KISS (I used to like a lot of the songs that I later found out was played by Bob Kulick...so I guess he´s an influence as well), Foo Fighters and of course a whole lot of nice music I don´t remember at the moment.
Sounds Like: .....well...eh... It has strings on it?
