Daxton is a folk singer/songwriter that moved to Sydney in 2003 from the Central Coast to further his music career. Daxton plays clubs and pubs around Sydney as well as Country. His new Single Shine a Light can be herd on the new 2007 Grow Your Own CD Compilation, as well as being played on Roots & All Triple J. Daxton is much like his music in many ways… intense with energy and sometimes relaxed in his own melodic release. His stage performance is much the same and his unique style will have you overwhelmed {Faster louder review at the Vanguard} Daxton restores some much-needed energy to the evening – he even stands up. He comes across as an appealing larrikin with a good sense of humour. He has a lovely, rich, powerful growl – the kind of voice that every bloke would secretly like to have. If by the time his big ballad Shine A Light (from the new CD) came around, things were starting to go borderline-Daughtry, a good whack of stomping Red Blooded Man country-blues rights things pretty quick. It’s clear this is more like the stuff the audience came to see!.
