GROM is well respected drummer in the international scene.He began playing drums at the age of 12 and immediately started studying with important names in the European and American scene. Born in Italy but of American upbringing, he has attended the CPM music academy in Milan, Italy and is a graduate of Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA. With roots that dwell into rock, his specialties span across a wide spectrum of genres, including all forms of rock, metal, pop, jazz, blues and latin.He has recently relocated to Los Angeles after having successfully carried through a 10 year career as a highly hired session drummer in the Italian and European rock, pop and metal scene. He has toured internationally, recorded over 20 sessions and released over 13 albums with signed bands he has been part of as a member, or as a hired studio drummer. He was the rhythmic driving force behind metal blade records band Ancient, as well as Hortus Animae (Sleaszy Rider / EMI), Psychorder, Doomsword (Dragonheart / SPV), Hate Profile (Cruz Del Sur recs.), Opposite Sides, K-Again, and The 'K', with which he toured and recorded.In 2007, following the recognition of his musical achievements, he was awarded by the U.S. government with the rare 'Extraordinary abilities artist' green card, making him a permanent American resident.Through the years he has received a huge amount of press coverage and feedback, including prime interviews in top European drum magazines and rock/metal magazines with the bands he collaborated with. Quoted numerous times as a strong working drummer, he now teaches privately and online, writes for various magazines and continues his active freelance drummer work from his North Hollywood home-base.He is currently writing an educational book and has participated in numerous video clips. A rock solid and versatile drummer, his latest recordings include LAST EXIT, solo guitarist MIKE SHOUSE and CLM management singer-songwriter JOHN PAUL as well as scoring for various indie short movies. He teaches in and around L.A. in various schools amongst which Dave Janssen's school of music and takelessons.com.
