About Me

I have 4 simple rules of life.1. It's all good. 2. Everything is better shared. 3. Never sacrifice the moment for anything, because you only get that moment once. 4. If all else fails, refer to rule 1.Basically if I can't effect it, I don't stress over it.

I enjoy going to the movies, either going to the theater of just watching them from the comfort of the couch.

I am excellent cook, or so I have been told. I prefer Italian dishes, Rigatoni al Vodka and Lasagna being my favorite things to prepare. I make a mean pot of chili as well. And what is a good cook without wine, I am not a wine connoisseur, but I know what I like, red and dry.

What else to say, I like the outdoors. Camping, hiking and stuff like that. I enjoy the park and going to the zoo. And the best thing to do in the outdoors is the Renaissance Faire. I love to go, pulling on my medieval garb and all. The one in Sterling Forest, N.Y., is great, although I have only been a few times. Something I will remedy in the future.

Did I mention I am really into Vampires? Yeah I read everything I can get my hands on about them. No, I don't go out and dress in black velvet and lace and drink blood. They are just intriguing, fascinating and very fiction creatures.
I am addicted to a game called Vampire: the Masquerade, I am missing only one of the books and then I will have every book for the system that has ever been in print. I am just a dork.

And yes I have a comic book collection. :p

Music:

I have a very eclectic ear, I like a huge range of music. Heavy metal and classic rock are at the top of the list. I can't stand county unless it is older non-twangy country like The Highwaymen. Stuff that has that epic feel to it. Hate rap, unless it is old rap when it was fun to listen too. There are too many bands and artist that I like to list but here a few so you can get an idea. Black Sabbath, Dio, Def Leppard, Kiss, Blues Traveler, Loreena McKennitt, Dido, Jethro Tull, Steely Dan, The Grateful Dead, Blues Traveler, Tool, A Perfect Circle, 10, 000 Maniacs, Delerium, Dead Can Dance, Mickey Hart, Deep Purple, Mission UK. See eclectic. :p

Movies:

I am really in to fantasy/sci-fi, action and drama, but I will always try something new. My favorite movie of all times in Legend, starring Tom Cruise, Mia Sara, Tim Curry, Blade Runner a close second and Dark Crystal third. But since Lord of the Rings trilogy, all else pales in comparison. Stuff like the 13th Warrior, Spartacus, The Crow, The Crow: City of Nagels ((Just because Iggy Pop is the man!)), 28 Days Later, Fight Club, an American Werewolf in London and Paris, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Trainspotting, The Gladiator, Blade, Fearless Vampire Killers, Last Unicorn, Animated movies like Heavy Metal and Rock & Rule ((Again because Iggy Pop is the man! Of course with a little Debbie Harry mixed in for good measure.)), Most Japanese Anime, John Carpenter's Vampires, pretty much any vampire movie, any Kevin Smith movie and any Darren Aronofsky movie for that matter will catch my attention. I am waiting on the Hellboy movie to open. Oh and the Farscape movie(s).

Television:

Wow, how do you answer this without sounding like a couch potato? Well, I have to say I watch stuff like Stargate SG-1, Smallville and Law & Order sort of like most bored housewives watch soap operas. Did I forget Family Guy? And for all of those Family Guy fans a little insider info. Since the DVD sales were so good, they are going to start the series back up again. YAY!!! When it was on I loved Farscape. Of course who can't say they love a good muppet or two now and again. Jim Henson ruled. That was until Walt Disney had him off'ed. Damn the mouse!!!

Books:

My reading taste follow the same vein as my movie choices, fantasy/sci-fi and horror. My favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, Michael Moorcock, Clive Barker, Nancy Collins, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Poppy Britz and Anne Rice. I am enjoy vampire fiction.
