Our marriage is built on the foundation that we do things together. This keeps us involved in each other's lives. It keeps us in-check and accountable for each other's safety and well being. With each sport we learn new skills. The activities help keep our minds and body fresh. We find satisfaction is watching each other progress in the sport from beginner to ntermediate and on. We’re there to support, watch, and encourage each other through each challenge. It also helps us met new people and strengthen the friendships with the ones we already have.We were talking about why so many people get divorces these days. We think it's because they have separate lives that take them away from each other. But that’s not to say for all people, because we also know people who have long distance relationships who are in a loving, healthy relationships. We also talked about the effects of having children and how it's going to impact our lives. We understand that having children will change everything about our lives. We’ll be limited to some activities but we’llpick up new ones that involve the baby.In the back of my thoughts, I’ll admit, I’m afraid having children will ruin our marriage. I’ve seen it happen to so many people. They have differences on parenting styles and dedication levels. The wife usually stays home with the kids and starts resenting the husband for working so much and spending time away from the family. My parents used to fight about that all the time. But I think having a dog has been a wonderful experience. It has given us a TINY glimpse of what it’s going to be like when we have a child of our own. I’m not pregnant yet. But I have to admit that having a baby has been more on my mind lately. I know having a baby will definitely change things. I know it’s going to be a lot tougher then raising a puppy. At my wedding my father gave a speech. In the speech he said that he believed that Sean and I could accomplish anything as long as we did it together. I’m so glad my Dad said that because those words are still with me today. And knowing he believes in me makes me believe in myself.
