Ladies and gentlemen-from the gutters of Tucson Arizona comes the soon to be infamous TA80. A life of unpaid cable bills, booze consumption at 6 a.m. on a Monday morning and a sink full of dirty dishes has given them a unique perspective on life which comes out in their desperate music. The internal squabbles and the landlord beating on the door high on meth looking for an advance on the rent are just daily occurences for these twisted characters. Equal parts Jesus and Mary Chain and The Dickies they know how to write a mean pop song. TA80. Get into their world. And learn a little..........about your own.

Alright, I'm finally ready to expose what's really going on in the secret society of TA-80:
1. 40 oz. Rose: We've been on this subject for a very long time... the missing TA-80 record...the one that will never be finished...five years in the making... does it even exist anymore? The answer: I dunno.
2. Born Insecure: Finished recording. Still not properly mixed or mastered. But I put up a few of the songs here so check em out. We will be touring for the album with the Queers and the Leftovers. It's an honor to be touring with these legendary bands and you all should come out and see us, and let us hang out with you, and let us sleep on your floors...and your girlfriends....yes, ON them. We are putting up the dates, times, locations as we get them. So come see us, I promise lots of instrument abuse, more funny hats than the Village People, and the incoherent between song chatter you've grown to love and ignore. Oh yea, I think I can post this since it was previously posted on the queersrock.com , on it Joe Queer says : "Ok another thing I should mention is I am finally going to do a pop punk tour. I have lined up Amy from TA80 and Jen from Unbelievers to help sing and play." The tour starts in September, the record won't be available in stores at that point but we are getting copies to bring with us and sell. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell the label it's coming out on yet. More on that a different time.
3. Also...could it be... in addition to selling "Born Insecure" on tour (before it's available in stores) could we also possibly have with us....gulp.... a limited amount of TA-80's lost album "40 oz. Rose" for sale? It could happen...we dunno...and we're in the band....
4." The NEW ta80.com: ta80.com is going under a major major renovation... I know it's probably one of the shittiest and most content devoid sites on Earth. To be honest we never really started it, but that is being changed as we speak... I have personally seen the new ta80.com .... and it is awesome! I cannot wait untilo it is up, now if you go there now you'll probablty see the old un-uupdated one, we'll let you know when the new one is done. It's going to have so much great stuff... a complete discography with all the covers, inlays, lyrics, conceptual art, pictures, line-ups, an updated store where you can honestly buy TA-80 merch (desides the Atari Du Cirque, which I believe is the only item for sale on the current one...) this is gonna be great!"
That's was from the previous update. Still not up because we are trying to track down some of our old covers. We printed very few of those old records and sold them all and didn't keep copies for ourselves. Thankfully we got some help and got some of them back but we are still missing the cover to the album "Psychic Headache" . If you so happen to have a copy (very unlikely bit worth a shot) send us a scan or whatever....
5. Lots more unbelievable stuff coming up but for alot of it it might be too soon to talk about.. we'll make sure to update soon and let you know of all the exciting stuff coming up
6. TA-80 just filmed a scene for "D.I.Y (the movie)". We're going to be in another scene next weekend (where we'll actually be playing live). We're having an incredibly great time doing this and I think the director, Derek, is going to be filming a TA-80 video for inclusion with the DVD. I think it's scheduled for release in 2010, so keep an eye out for it, and check out the film's website....http://www.directorsseat.com/DIY/Home.html
That's about it in TA-80 world... have a good one, have a safe one, and thanks for shopping...
