About Me

I was born and raised in upstate New York, and then migrated to the city for my college career. Although the small town of Saratoga Springs may seem insignificant, when I meet people and they dare to ask me where I am from, I tell them that it was sung about in the Carly Simon song "You're so Vein" and was also the turning point of the Revolutionary War. It makes Saratoaga seem a little more important.Anyway, I came to New York City to follow my dreams of becoming an advertising executive. However, during my stay at the lovely FIT, Hurricane Katrina tore the south apart- and I decided (for lack of a plan or money to go to Cancun) that for my spring break I would help out where I could. For my week in Mississippi, stilettos and Armani and the latest night clubs didn't matter. The people who lived there, were just thankful to see us volunteer. And although I had never really fallen into the Prada lifestyle, I knew there was a lot more out in the world. So in short, I am kind of in the process of re-directing my life towards other things. Some kind of way to make a difference.I didn't mean to make this a novel, but I think that is a good part of who I am now, and where I want to go with life. I thrive on movies about social awareness, like "An Inconvienient Truth" and "Blood Diamond". I like taking pictures of the world around me. My friends are all different, but amazing. I am an RA at my college... I have a big family... I play the cello... I like to watch MSNBC... I have an unhealthy addiction to chips & guacamole... I love to bake cookies. If you want to know more, send me a coherent message. Chances are, I'll reply...
