I am a proud parent of two children both of whom are in the United States Army. My daughter is a Staff Sergeant in Electronic Warfare and my son is a Specialest in the Infantry division. I have been with my partner for 10 years. We were married in Mass. in 2004; however, it is not recognized in my state. My son and daughter love her and wished that our marriage was recognized throughout the world. They are both Christians and (to my dismay lol) straight. My son is married and has a gorgeous son and his wife is now a stay at home mom. My son is 21 years old. My daughter is engaged to a wonderful man that is also a Staff Sergeant in Electronic Warfare the Army. My daughter is 23. I love the fact that all of them love me and my partner unconditionally. They told me that what hurts them the most is that they are fighting a war to help another country’s people in receiving equal rights yet in their own country their mother’s have none. I just told them to remember that God said love thy neighbor as thyself and everything else will fall into place.
