so we are adjusting, slowly, to this funny place with a funny name. (if you actually call it "louie-ville" people will laugh at you.) and i think someone asks at least once a day if i am from minnesota, not that it even matters, because everyone here thinks milwaukee and minneapolis are the same city. people here are funny because they are not quite southern, but still southern at the same time, for instance, they dont say y'all but it is definitely replaced by the far more awkward phrase "you all" and they have no problems waiting in line, forever. Our apartment is coming together nicely, it really is beautiful, although from the outside you wouldnt know anyone lived there. Slightly a problem considering no one can find it. delivery drivers dont stand a chance. We even got a letter in the mail after we registered to vote saying our address didnt exist and we were ineligible until we registered with a different address. but they did send it in the mail... and we got it...
