Both, Wim Dogtack and me Tim Mercury form this Unit the Razors. We thing we are a little different ‘because nobody has done the things like we did. Twenty five years ago we start to be involved in this Kustom madness. Being member of some shit car clubs in the past wasn’t the real think that we hope to do. Around here there are only people hoe thinking to make fast money with cars .They give a shit to be a friend or to be member of a car club. Of cause there are always some exceptions.
Wim’s first real Kustom was a ’55 Chevy Bel Air modified to a Pick Up, witch was kind of cool. Wim bought this ’50 Chevy Fleetliner in Belgium as a driving and a good base to start with. Helping out in a garage to get also some professional help for his Chevy he make a total ‘Frame Off’ restoration and did also several Customizing Items on the body. He finishes the Car after six years with a ‘Larry Watson’ style paintjob that came out very awesome.
I drove for eleven years a… (Don’t laugh) ’74 AMC Javelin witch was pretty fast with his 450 horsepower (now you don’t laughing anymore?). In the meantime I was dreaming for ten years to have a Mercury some day. I found one finally also in Belgium. This ’50 Mercury was nothing more than a bunch of cut metal peaces hold together with a lot of rust. I start to buy some tools and start to learn how to make a Top Chop. I found my way and did it all. And I mean ALL. Like Wim after six years I finish the Car in ’96 working EVERY DAY on it. Sins then I drove the Merc thru the whole Europe and have bin there and saw it all.
