We are The Intake, a band from Durham which formed around July 2006, at a school charity run. It wasn't meant to go past that day, but we agreed to try it and now we've been going for over 2 years! We have the best part of an album recorded at the moment, which you can buy as an E.P, but we hope to get the rest recorded as soon as possible :)
We're a four piece, and we all to to Johnston 6th form! We all knew each other for ages before we made a band, but half of us didn't play instruments! James and Stefan had been in a band in year 7, and when we heard about the charity gig, they decided to team up with Cooper and Azzy P, and that was the start of the Intake.
Azz left the band in early May 2008 in order to progress with his IT business, Molton Monkey. We continued having a few practices as an acoustic band through the summer, and picked up Creg on drums in late September 2008.
So that is The Intake, hope we haven't scared you off. We're a friendly bunch really...
