First and foremost I am a Christian and have been committed to Christ for 28 yrs. To say you are a christian is one thing...to live it is another, so I sincerely hope that my life is a reflection of that commitment, and that my life gives glory to God...I always have to remind myself that people not only listen to what I say...they are watching what I do. It's not always easy being a Christian, but just knowing that my life has purpose, is very fulfilling and rewarding to me. It's also comforting to know who I can turn to when I mess up...and, unfortunately, I do mess up, because I know, more than anyone, that I am not a perfect person. However, I am a forgiven person, but only through the blood of Christ. I don't know what I would do without the Lord in my life. He has helped me through so many difficult times. We don't deserve His blessings and yet God is so good to us.My second commitment is to my husband. I've been happily married to my husband for 30 years (not to say that there haven't been difficulties along the way...all relationships have them...but our commitment to God & each other is what gets us through the tough times and is what makes our marriage stronger). I love my husband with all my heart and intend to share the rest of my life with him.My third commitment is to my three awesome kids - Geoff, Matt and Emily. Each one of them is a blessing to me in their own individual way. I truly have a deeper understanding of God's love for me, because I am a parent. I love my kids unconditionally and I hope they all know that. I have always been a stay-at-home mom because I wanted to raise my kids myself, and I have never regretted that decision. I value the opportunity God has given me, to take care of my husband, my kids and my home. I have also been an in-home childcare provider for 26 yrs... Once my daughter graduates from school, I intend to give up daycare and hope to open my own pie shop. I make awesome pies! Just ask anyone who knows me :)I love to go on family vacations (they're kinda like the ones in the Chevy Chase vacation movies - so much chaos and fun at the same time... HA!)Volleyball is my absolute favorite sport to play. My women's volleyball team took 1st place for three consecutive years. Yay team! I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing games, playing cards, talking and laughing, whatever.
