We are a non-profit foundation promoting classical music in North Texas. Our activities include a concert series which presents young virtuosos as well as classical superstars. (In fact, many believe Cliburn Concerts to be the best classical series in the region!) We also produce a variety of educational programs to bring great music to schools and students that have no other access to it. We sponsor an amateur piano competition which gives non-professional musicians a chance to share their passion via live performance.
Our foundation originated with the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1962. The Competition, regarded as "the Olympics of piano competitions," is a festival devoted to classical music and finding the world’s finest young pianists. It has a worldwide reach with numerous documentaries, radio broadcasts, and the international tours of Cliburn Competition winners.
