About Me
Sort of Louisiana-based alt/southern rock/pop/rock Meantree's first show was in 1992 at the no longer existing Murphy's in Baton Rouge, LA. In the next couple of years, they recorded an album and toured the Southeast. They were components of an early-nineties burst of musical creativity out of Baton Rouge along with Thoughts of Mary, Girl Scout Heroin and of course the hugely successful Better than Ezra. They had the opportunity to tour and open for BTE, the Connells, Fred LeBlanc of Cowboy Mouth and the Reverend Horton Heat before parting ways geographically in 1994. However, Meantree never did truly break up. When they get the urge, based on the computations of their highly secret Random Show Generator, they reunite. In fact, they played shows in 1994, 1996, 2002 and 2004. Is it time for a new show or shows? Only the members of Meantree and the Random Show Generator know for sure.
