Koldbrand (Søren Nørgaard, born in Denmark in 1973) has been drawing and painting all his life. Since primary school he would often colour the illustrations in the textbooks, driving his teachers crazy and resulting in a lot of rebuke. He later moved on to graffiti and underground music.
Being a less keen reader than a lover of the Pop art movement, he opted for a career as a graphic designer, specialising in typography.
Today Koldbrand is a wide-ranging artist, still painting and drawing as well as working with instalations and sculpture.
Koldband lives in Copenhagen, Denmark where he’s currently making a living as a Senior Art Director. He has won awards for best web design at the New York Festival as well as taken home prizes at several Danish award ceremonies.
