I am a singer and songwriter from Palermo, in the sunny Sicily. I grew up listening to Cocteau Twins, Bjork and Dead Can Dance amongst others. Since 1997, I have been collaborating with different indie rock bands, sharing the stage with music luminaries such as Sonic Youth and Jim O'Rourke. I joined Moque back in 2005, and 2 years later, we released our debut album “Luna Appesa Con Lo Scotch†- which has been receiving some good feedback from local press and radio. More recently, listening to the sounds of Royksopp, Digitalism and Apparat, I found myself addicted to elettronica, and started writing and singing for different acts including CANPLAYWILLPLAY - whose first forthcoming album will feature a couple of tracks of mine as well as the vocal talents of Corrina Joseph (Basement Jaxx), Mozez (Zero7) and Sally Doherty (Planet Funk)... I'm a little bit proud of it! My first solo single “Underwater Love†- a cover version of the Smoke City classic, produced by KaranaUnit aka Matteo Esse & Sant, Callea and Da Lukas, on Hysterical Ego, has been followed by an audacious cover version of the seminal 'Teardrop' by my beloved artists Massive Attack and Elizabeth Fraser – which also feature a Fonzerelli,a Robbie Rivera and a Glenn Morrison Remix. Already hitting the number 1 in the Buzz Chart in DMC Update and the Cool Cuts Chart in Music Week, and licensed to Data in the U.K., Ultra in the U.S., Scorpio in France, Universal in Spain, Ministry Of Sound in Germany, Universal in Belgium, Spinnin in The Netherlands and Sony in Australia after a major labels bidding war, the track is now set for a Worldwide release Spring 2009.
