Forever War (ex Manifest)

About Me

Forever War(ex Manifest) started out as 'Tyranny' in the fall of 2004, mainly concentrating on playing covers, and rockin' out in the rehearsal space. Months passed and after the departure of Robin Backlund it was decided to take the band a step further, and Jens Lundström joined the band as one of the main guitarists and Patrik Östlund just focusing on the vocals. It wasn't long until it was decided to let Jens leave the band due to different circumstances. And so the hunt for a new guitarist and bass player began. And just a couple of weeks later after a few auditions Joakim Risberg and Sebastian Westermark joined the band and formed the line-up that was to remain for the next year.Forever War(ex Manifest) started attending minor festivals and playing local gigs. They attended the Burtrask Festival for the first time and won first place as the best band of the festival. The band went on recording their first demo, feautering Caught Devouring and Divinity. With little satisfaction the band hit the rehearsal space once more for a long period of time until it was decided to record the debut EP "The Shape of I".After the recording Joakim left the band, and Kristoffer Asplund joined the band as the bass player, and the line-up hasn't changed since.
