Portrait of Salote Tawale is a new project by Salote Tawale, focusing on issues relating to the construction of identity, gender, sexuality and authorship. Through various representational devices. The aim is to explore the identity of the artist, the traditional conventions of portraiture and the way in which the twentieth and twenty-first centuries have devolved this concept.
