It all begins with a man born with a purpose and plan. God placed a calling on from the womb to this young man many had already known as the “Miracle Child†Michael Ross always had the gift of music rooted in him. It was as a child he began to learn percussion and then eventually start rendering his voice as his sacrifice of praise back unto the Lord. Between the ages of 13-17 he began to write music to express his love and sincere passion for Christ. Being part of a ministry by the Name of
the Chosen Few Brothers that was under the direction of the Late Great Professor Kenneth Peay Michael Ross was blessed to have the opportunity to
start sharing this gift. Yet there was more, more in store for him to do.
After years of playing percussions and singing at numerous churches and
venues God revealed the destiny that had been laid out from the start.
It was because of that mere factor that
Michael Ross & Tru-Praize was born.
It all comes to life Feb. 28th 2006 when the vision and drive is now put
into second gear. Tru-Praize which was not only formed with the voices but
the entire organization which would pretty much provide everything needed
for this ministry to be a blessing to others. Musicians, staff, and supporters
have all been lead by God to be part of Tru-Praize. They were all naturally motivated to serve Christ with a full commitment to the mission. Now
Michael Ross not only ministered alone but had others along side that wanted
to do the same and be part of the building of God’s Kingdom. The members
of this organization were all directed in this direction in very unique ways.
They all had a passion for Christ and a love of music. That element alone was enough to launch a very motivated and anointed work for Christ. Within the
last 2 years Michael Ross & Tru-Praize has really been on the move ministering
at numerous churches and functions. December 2007 Michael Ross & Tru-Praize received their first nomination for “Gospel Group Single of the Year†for the selection "Total Praise" at the 7th Annual Tiffany Gospel Awards. In 2007 they even supported the Men and Women’s Stop the Violence Conference as a way of getting even more involved some of the really pressing issues in our society today. The focus of this
ministry is to minister to all walks of life one by one. To reach and touch the masses with God’s word. It is our hope and prayer that a heart will be healed
and a soul may be saved every time our music is heard.
