Exploring the last 50 years worth of important Saturday night music – from 1960s American soul/funk, to the favela funk of Brazil, to the glam funk of Minneapolis groups like The Time to the famed DC Go-Go groups of Washington DC, to the Latin soul sounds of Fania Records. Sliced in between will be classic hip-hop, 50s R&B, reggae/dancehall, afrobeat, and whatever else kind of kitchen sink soul shit our hands can flip.
