The Secret Life of Bees is my new favorite book, its not my usual genre but this book really moved me,lol. Look into it, otherwise psychology books work for me.
This may sound arrogant but I am my own hero, I don't have a strong icon to look to, I am proud of what I have accomplished under the circumstances. Allison and Jessica are also people I look up to. Ordinary people who make their life worth living, those are my heroes.
