The Baltimore based group Da Horsemen drop their debut CD/DVD HWO Evolution. This release features Hip/Hop / R&B / Baltimore Club at it’s finest. Da Horsemen come together solidly on Evolution’s lead single “Shorty Got Azzâ€. This party cut is an uptempo jem that has Horsemen member Diamond K singing the hook on this Dukeyman produced song with Wes Raven and Frankie B giving praise to big butt girls. Other standout cuts include “Bout Dem Figgaz†with it’s chopped and screwed hook and ‘Tims & Teesâ€; the tribute Timberland boots and tee shirts. All three members of Da Horsemen bring something different to the table. Frankie B has a straight east coast flow while Wes Raven has a down south type of flow. Diamond K’s flow is very R&Bish and he sings a lot more now then he did in the groups previous material. All and all HWO Evolution is a hit with a little something for everyone and even includes a bonus DVD with the “Shorty Got Azz†music video and behind the scenes footage.
Da Horsemen consists of longtime friends – Wes Raven, Frankie Baby and Diamond K. The groups sound is radio and club friendly but Da Horsemen still gets a certain love from the street that is enjoyed by only a select few. “Our stage show is very energetic. We like to incorporate the crowd in our performances, so we do a lot of crowd participation routines.†says group member Wes Raven. In the clubs is where Da Horsemen got their start, releasing some Baltimore club music classics like “We Bout It†& “We Boys†in the late 90’s. After the local success of their Baltimore club records, the group members started to pursue other musical interests. Diamond K began DJing in some of Atlanta’s hottest night clubs and Wes-Raven and Frankie Baby started crafting some of the songs that would become the soundtrack to Da Horsemen’s full length debut.Da Horsemen will make that film debut in the High Rolla Records & Films movie “RELOADEDâ€. The film is a comedy/drama that follows two Baltimore city detectives that are investigating the disappearance of a prominent local DJ. Everyone’s a suspect from ex-girlfriends to other DJ’s. “RELOADED†also includes a free soundtrack and special bonuses. “I think the streets are ready for us now†says Diamond K about the groups growing buzz. “We’ve got a soundtrack that is half hip-hop and half Baltimore club.†With the recent attention Baltimore Club music has received on national levels like MTV, the time is now for a group like Da Horsemen to put a face with Baltimore’s hot club beats. For bookings, interviews or radio drops
