“U Don’t Know Me, The Musical” is the exciting new edgy stage musical about the attitudinal young generation that sag their pants below their waist and who wear their sexuality like high fashion. Told through their music and dance, U Don’t Know Me is the story of Nick, Alonzo, and Shalon, three foster kids who have been to hell and back while struggling to survive their foster homes and the mean inner city streets of America. As the three juvenile delinquents are kicked out of traditional schooling, their lives follow a predictably tragic course until each one decides to break the cycle of craziness. One by one these misfits dig deep inside and reinvent themselves in search of all promised to those who believe in their talents and dreams. With warring spirits the three unlikely heroes change the unchangeable. They create a new way to educate young people. They change the world, and they wind up on the cover of Time Magazine where the headline proudly heralds-… “the lost generation has found itself.” This heartfelt story attempts to answer all of society’s questions about a breed of young people growing up in the inner cities of America. The story speaks to anyone who has ever yearned for success, and had to fight everyone including themselves in order to achieve it.
